Bucky's Done in Mexico

From the transaction wire of the Mexian League (translation modified from freetranslation.com):

The Tabasco Olmecas activated Sharnol Adriana to their roster occupying the place of Bucky Jacobsen who was dropped.

It appears Adriana had played for the Dorados de Chihuahua before being released on April 11, 5 days after Bucky signed with Tobasco. In 16 games for the Dorados, Adriana hit .302 with 1 homer, 5 doubles and 7 RBIs.

Well, it was fun while it lasted. Hopefully another team in the league will give Bucky a call.

EDIT/ADDITIONAL NEWS
Bucky's agent e-mailed me and filled in more of the story. The Mexican League isn't where Bucky wants to end up, so he asked for his release to be able to workout back in Seattle and hopefully catch on in Japan or Korea.

Back to the Atlantic League?

Nope - back home to the Seattle area to work out. The continued hope is to catch on in Korea or Japan.

I was wondering if you know if Bucky faces any live pitching back home?

what is the story on bucky? he was finally given a chance and has done great.i think he pissed off people by not waiting to the end of the year for surgery so seattle dropped him.seeing what jack cust is doing reminds me of what could have been with bucky.

If I remember the story, the M's recommended the surgery sooner rather than the off-season. Otherwise, Bucky may not have been ready for spring training in 2005.

Then as luck would have it, the surgery needed to be tweaked once Bucky was into spring training. The rest, unfortunately, is history.

I was laid-off a few months back, so I've got time on my hands if Bucky needs someone to fire in some 95-mph heaters for him to deposit in the bleachers.

Call me, Bucky!

I don't understand why we got rid of Bucky. He didn't have a huge contract. He was doing well, better than expensive Richie Sexson's doing. Also he was a huge fan favorite in Seattle. I just don't get it, his contract didn't make him a huge risk to keep. He made Safeco look tiny. Then again this is Bavasi we're talking about.

Agreed. No reason why they couldn't have invited him to spring training this year. He had a great season last year with the Ducks, so it would have been such a low risk to give him another shot.

Is he done?
