Teams interested in Bucky

As has been talked about on JapaneseBaseball.com, Bucky has been interested in playing in Japan. He had mentioned this possibility in an interview with Jim Street in 2004 as well.

Also as mentioned in the posts at JapaneseBaseball.com, Bucky did have a workout where teams were invited to see Bucky's progress. According to his agent, Bucky was back to his old self and in great shape. There were no issues with his knees.

We'll let you know as soon as we hear from Bucky and his agent as to Bucky's team in 2006.

Recap of What's Going On

In September, the Mariners called up Bucky from the minors and was told not to report. The club then outrighted him to Tacoma, which means he was removed from the 40 man roster.

Bucky finished the season with Tacoma and was not offered another contract by the Mariners. This action made Bucky a free agent, free to negotiate with whomever he chooses.

As of this time, Bucky is continuing to work out and talk with teams about possibilities for next season. His agent is hopeful to have some news by year's end.

In an effort to make things easier to get posts up, etc., I have decided to use Blogger.com as a way to keep the content on BuckyBackers.com fresh.
